Police have been searching a pond and nearby woodland where boots belonging to the victim of a convicted murderer were found.

A stash of what is believed to be women's clothes was also discovered near the site in Ramsbury near Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Sian O'Callaghan, 22, was killed by minicab driver Christopher Halliwell in March 2011.

She had been abducted after leaving a nightclub in Swindon.

In October 2012, Halliwell pleaded guilty to her murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

The pond was searched by divers. A "left" boot was discovered on May 15 and then the "right" one was found a day later.

Officers then drained the pond to allow a fingertip search on the bottom. Police also found a shotgun there.
